Stan is currently serving as the Elder Board chair, volunteering on the worship team in visual aids and is moderator of the Prescott Valley Tuesday Night Small Group. He has also served as Financial Secretary and Church Treasurer.
In his own words, he was blessed to be born into a Christian family and was raised in church.  Accepting Christ as Savior in his high school years, he had always known that he was God’s child and wanted to serve in ministry.  However, there were a number of years that were “prodigal” in nature which sidetracked any ministry.
During a powerful spiritual renewal in early 1972, the promise of Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, And when he is old he will not depart from it” became a living reality.  Since that spiritual renewal, God fulfilled the dream of Christian ministry, serving in Europe for a year with the Assemblies of God in Brussels, Belgium, two years in Kenya and Uganda with Food for the Hungry and then retired after seven years as Finance Department Head at Tecate Mission in Tecate, California.
Stan and Kay were directed to Cornerstone in October 2000 to enjoy the teaching and be a part of the fellowship. It had always been in his heart to see the church thrive spiritually as well as grow in numbers. His vision is to follow God’s leading for the church to impact the community it serves, which is happening now.
