1. We are committed to Bible teaching that is both accurate and applicable.
It is accurate because only God’s Word can lead us in right living and keep us from error (2 Timothy 3:16 and Psalm 119). It is applicable because God says that’s the whole point of Bible study – to transform our lives (Romans 12:2 and 2 Timothy 3:17).
2. We are committed to unconditionally loving others.
After all, this is how God loves us. And that love is the only reason we get to be part of His family at all. Jesus explained this value in John 13:35, when He said, “By this will all men know that you are my disciples, if you have love one for another.”
This love motivates us to graciously disagree with other Christians on peripheral disputes, while holding unapologetically to central Christian doctrines. You can sum it up this way, “In essentials, unity; in non-essentials, charity; in all things, Christ.”
